I'm playing BALTIMORE on the Run-Line (+1.5 runs) While I really like the Orioles' chances of winning, the extra +1.5 runs makes their chances even better. Thornton, who is coming off a brief stint on the injured list, has been terrible. He's 3-7 with a 5.45 ERA. When pitching in the evening, he's 1-7 with an even worse 7.12 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. In four July starts, prior to missing a little time, he had a dismal 11.08 ERA and 2.08 WHIP. Opposing batters are hit .355 against him for the month. Conversely, over his last two starts, Wojciechowski has allowed just two runs on only four hits in 14 1/3 innings. Wojciechowski had this to say: "I'm just executing pitches. I'm in a good rhythm with my mechanics, and I'm making pitches." Manager Brandon Hyde added: "He's been enormous for us. He's going deep for us. That was a bullpen saver on a day when we really, really needed it with so many guys down. The way he pitched with a lead, too. Throwing strikes, attacking hitters. I love his competitiveness. I think you see, after strikeouts, I like his emotion on the mound. He's out to beat people, and I love the way he competes." Expect AT LEAST a 'run-line cover' for the home team.
