Two of the hottest teams in the NHL will clash at Xcel Energy Center Thursday night when the Minnesota Wild will entertain the visiting Vegas Golden Knights.

Minnesota is a solid 19-11-5 at home on the season and it needs this game more than Vegas, sitting just outside playoff position in the Western Conference while the Knights sit top of the Pacific Division.

Additionally, this is a tough spot for the Knights who will play the third game of a four-game road trip while the Wild return home after three straight games away from home.

The TCU Horned Frogs will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in the Big 12 tournament Wednesday night, and I like the Horned Frogs to get the job done in this one.

While Kansas State is coming off a 79-61 triumph over Iowa State in their regular-season finale, note that it had dropped 10 consecutive games prior to that.

The Wildcats are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight-up win, 0-6 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games, and here they'll face a TCU team that has defeated them comfortably twice already this season.

The Charlotte Hornets are 7.5 games off a playoff spot, but that doesn't mean that they've stopped competing. The Hornets are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games following an OT loss at Atlanta Monday night, and I like them to keep this within double-digits. While the Miami Heat are phenomenal home at American Airlines Arena, note that they're coming off a 100-89 triumph at Washington and they're 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. With the Hornets feisty against the spread run and the Heat in a letdown spot, taking the points on the visitors is a no brainer to me.

The Hawks are 20-12 ATS in all home games on the season and 5-2 SU and ATS as home favorites, including a 140-135 win over the Knicks on Feb 9. They've had a day off since defeating Charlotte in double overtime on Monday while the New York Knicks were in action last night when they took a 122-115 loss at Washington. The Knicks are 2-7 ATS when playing on back-to-back nights this season and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games as a road underdog. I don't think the visitors will stand much of a chance in this one.

The Howard Bison have won just three games all season and they took a 100-88 loss to Delaware State last time out. They're however 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home and I like them to keep it within the number as an underdog against South Carolina State in the MEAC Tournament Tuesday night. The Bulldogs are coming off five straight defeats, and they're just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. Additionally, note that the last three meetings have gone to overtime, most recently a 101-95 South Carolina State win back in January.

The Minnesota Timberwolves own the second-worst record in the Western Conference and they've lost their last two games by an average of 13.5 points, but I like their chances of covering the number when visiting a slumping Houston team Tuesday night.

The dysfunctional Rockets are not in a position to lay double-digits against any team in the league at the moment, coming off four straight defeats, most recently a 20-point loss to Orlando.

Minnesota may struggle big time on the defensive end, but note that it has the 9th best scoring average in the league and Houston has found it hard to run up the score in recent games.

The Philadelphia Flyers are NHL-best 25-5-4 home at Wells Fargo Center, but I think they're in trouble here as they host one of the strongest road teams in the league.

The Bruins are 13-4 in their last 17 vs. a team with a winning record and the Flyers could be due for a clunker after reeling off a season-best nine straight triumphs.

Boston on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from a 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay, a defeat that put an end to a four-game winning streak.

The Boston Celtics have allowed just 102 points per game over their last two contests, but they still lost both averaging 95 ppg. Bad time to run into an Indiana Pacers team that boasts a top 5 scoring defense while holding opponents to 105.4 ppg home at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. One of the few teams playing better D than the Pacers are the Celtics, limiting opponents to 106.8 ppg overall on the season.

The Celtics are 21-13 to the under in games with a total of fewer than 118 points.

The St. Mary's Gaels and the BYU Cougars have split two close games this season, but I like BYU to win and cover the spread in this West Coast Conference Tournament semifinal matchup in Las Vegas Monday night.

The Gaels needed double-overtime to get past Pepperdine on Saturday while BYU put an 81-64 beating on that same Pepperdine team last time out on Feb 29. BYU should have plenty of energy saved up for this one while heavy legs could become an issue for the Gaels.

The Gaels are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games overall and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games as an underdog while the Cougars are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games overall and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games as a favorite.
